Humility is Listening

What if we could see opinions for what they really are? World views informed by personal experience. What if we could see each opinion holder as another human trying to make sense of the same world that we, too, don’t fully understand?

Not everyone possesses the humility to listen to others (especially those with whom you disagree). But in an increasingly derisive world, I can think of no other starting point, if our goal is to truly work toward something better.

That said, below is a collection of documentaries that may challenge you, depending on your beliefs. You won’t agree with everything and you’re not supposed to. But my hope is that, in the process of listening, we may all at least begin to understand the other side and, perhaps, chip away at “otherness” that we so firmly hold to…in order to protect ourselves.
